A well-maintained hot tub cover can last for up to 6 years. Over time, it will succumb to UV rays and debris, causing it to deteriorate (or at least become less effective) over time. At that point, you should buy a replacement hot tub cover in order to continue enjoying the benefits mentioned above.
Yes! Keeping your energy-saving hot tub cover on before and after use is the best way to keep the water warm, as it makes it harder for heat to escape. Thermally-efficient insulating materials hold the heat in the tub for longer. This will help your hot tub to run more efficiently and heat up faster. We offer thick hot tub lids which can keep in more heat, so consider replacing your current cover if it is too thin to retain heat.
To help extend the lifespan of your spa cover, we recommend using a cover lifter to keep the cover from getting damaged when you're removing it. Cleaning your cover on a regular basis (and treating the vinyl with a UV stabiliser) will also help to prolong the cover's effectiveness.
